Robert M. B. Polk, II

Robert M. B. Polk IIRobert Malcolm Bruce Polk II died peacefully in New York on June 2, 2020. I believe he graduated in the Class of ’66, although he started in the Class of ’65. Bob was a raconteur and a man of many interests and eclectic knowledge. Unfortunately, none of those interests were particularly lucrative, and he was not blessed with the privilege that many of you have enjoyed. Nevertheless, his classmates can take pride in his accomplishments as a man of extreme compassion, and with a genuine and sincere belief in helping all whom he might be able to assist in their lives; One might say, to a fault. I can also add that Bob never had a bad day in his life, and he died a happy man, in spite of his health issues and humble circumstances. He never married, and is survived by his two sisters, Mimi and Eileen. His ashes have been lovingly scattered under a magnificent Cherry Tree overlooking the Willamette River in Oregon, by his sister, Eileen.
