Paul Stephen Elkin

Paul Stephen Elkin (Moose), was born April 16, 1944 in Newburyport, MA. He died September 6, 1966, one short year after our graduation. At Yale, Moose was a member of Davenport, was on the Hillel cabinet, and sang in the Freshman Chorus and the Apollo Glee Club. In our 1965 Classbook, he indicated that he was headed for law school.
Robert Hammond remembers: Paul developed a blood dyscrasia perhaps leukemia while we were students. I last saw him lying in his bed at Grace New Haven Hospital during a sobering visit putting on a good face , being incredibly brave, and trying to not dwell on the prospects for his future.
