This extraordinary honor is especially significant because as a lawyer, not a formally credentialed scientist, Dave’s unique talents are being recognized — the ability to interpret complex scientific findings in ways that command trust from the scientific community, and then to intelligibly communicate their implications to national and international policymakers and to the general public.
