Annual Dinner 2022

ANNUAL CLASS DINNER

Yale Club of NYC
October 28, 2022
A Rousing Success!

Since the cancellation of our 50th Reunion, we’ve been chomping at the bit to meet again in person. With hopes for at least 50 to attend, we were thrilled to get 80, including 3 widows who are an active part of our Class. Attendees came from across the USA, but Peter Desjardin who flew in from Dubai gets the long-distance award!

Bill Nelson—Our Space Hero!

Watch the highlight of the evening — Bill’s awe-inspiring reflections on his career-long association with NASA: first as a Congressman who rode a rocket to space and orbited the earth, then as a Senator who worked hard to ensure our country’s continued investment in space, and now as NASA’s able 14th Administrator. Speaking without notes, Bill mesmerized the crowd with his warm memories of his experiences as an astronaut, thrilled us with the latest JWST pictures of the universe just after its creation, excited us with his hopes for the upcoming Artemis launch to the moon, and dazzled us with his intimate knowledge of NASA’s many amazing programs NASA designed to send humans to Mars!

Midterm Election Survey Results

David Roscoe presented the midterm election survey results based on responses provided by 220 classmates and their spouses, partners and widows. The analysis focussed on our preferences and predictions—both for overall majority control of Congress, as well as for key Senate and Gubernatorial races. Our Class has been running political surveys since 2008, and reading about this one is worth your time!
