Tim Merrill organized a panel to address the aging process: living longer – research and practice; physical, mental, and emotional accommodations as we enter our 8th decade; how to address natural fears of aging; palliative care, death with dignity laws, and other policy issues. The panelists’ presentations of aging statistics (classmate Richard Hodes) and aging issues (Hasting Center’s Millie Solomon) was enhanced by classmate Mike McCaskey’s slide show that balanced then and now photos of some of us and tender looks at aging people, and was well (and humorously) introduced by classmate Steve Guss.
